Work-from-home option | Inquirer Opinion

Traffic has been a perennial problem, and a solution seems hopeless due to the inefficiency of other modes of transportation and unfriendly and unsafe environments in the city to walk or bike in.

Perhaps one viable solution, rather than waiting for better roads or transport systems, is for the government to mandate companies to let their employees work from home if all they’re going to do at the office is paperwork.

Compensation may be based on how soon output is submitted.

Also, employees will only go to work when their actual presence is needed.

This option can decongest major highways, let people save on gas and travel time, and contribute to their overall well-being.
