Business leader, entrepreneur named interim head of Warren County EDC

GLENS FALLS — Jim Siplon, an Air Force veteran whose career has ranged from startups to Fortune 500 firms, has been named interim president of the Warren County Economic Development Corp. following the unexpected death last week of President Ed Bartholomew.

Siplon, an EDC board member and Glens Falls resident, has a career that included marketing and sales manager at General Electric, a senior manager at MCI, vice president and managing director at Fiji Water, and most recently founder and president of rethinkH2O, a water industry consulting firm.

“I look forward to the challenge of continuing Ed’s work, but no one will replace Ed,” Siplon said. “The best we can do is emulate him.”
