Welcome to September, a month of opportunities! 

We would love to see you! Seniors Corner is meeting for fun and games Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. Masks and limited registration will be in place. Please call the Library to register at 780-929-2665. 

Early literacy fun though songs, rhymes and stories is back! Tickle Time is for babies, birth to 24 months, is offered either online or in-house. Rhyme Time is for two to three-year-olds, and school readiness Story Time is for three to six-year-olds. We have added Family Story Time for birth to six years to accommodate siblings of various ages. Please check our website for details. Online registration opens Sept. 2. 

Register at the Library for Day Home Fun! Two Wednesdays each month at 9:15 a.m.  

Due to health guidelines all programs have smaller registration numbers, are of a shorter duration and no longer include food of any sort. Adult attendees and children over five years must wear a mask (disposable adult and children’s masks will be provided)Washrooms will not be open for public use. For more information on how the library is keeping patrons safe, please visit our website: www.beaumontlibrary.com/library/covid19-info. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. 

HomesCool Connections is now online via Zoom. Please join us Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1-2 p.m. for the “Sound of Music Singing” with Laura Talbert of Talbert Voice Studios. Find your singing voice with some favorites from The Sound of Music. This is meant for school-aged children, although the whole family is welcome to participate. Registration opens Sept. 2 at the Library. 

Photo Management with Windows 10, a Stan Gerber Workshop. Join us Saturday, Sept. 19, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Please call the library to register. 

Alberta Culture Days Play! Outside on the plaza enjoy visual artists at work and try it yourself! Wander in to engage with Métis Alive Cultural Experiences discussion and exhibition. Check out the Artists Society of Beaumont’s awesome creations! Join us Saturday, Sept. 19, 1-3 p.m. and celebrate Alberta Culture Days! 

Living Library increases understanding through conversation as three individuals share their experiences with addictions, suicide, violence and mental health struggles. Monday, Sept. 21, 6-8 p.m. online via Zoom. Facilitated by Leduc and District Victim Services. Please register at [email protected]. 

Learn a language with our courses and clubs! 10-week multi-level French course and 10-week multi-level Spanish course begin the week of Sept. 21. An eight week American Sign Language Level 1 course begins in October. Registration opens online Sept. 2. Please check our website for details. Our ESL, Spanish and French Language Clubs will continue to meet online. Please call the Library to register. 

Kids Have Stress Too! Facilitated by Leduc County FCSS, join us Wednesday, Sept. 30, 6-8 p.m. Call 780-979-2385 to register. 

Please note, after the September long weekend our Library hours will be Mon/Tues 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Wed 10 a.m. –8 p.m., Th/Fri 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sat/Sun 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
